Though it was written 70 years ago, Born Yesterday only grows more timely each day. It is- at its core- a story about a smart, vivacious woman finding agency in a world that desperately wants to keep her ignorant and quiet. With that in mind, I wanted Billie's wardrobe to outwardly reflect her vibrancy through lively jewel tones and rich textures, contrasting sharply with the neutrality of the men around her.
